     My name is Christine Calvert.  I am a Kindergarten teacher at Nance Elementary in room 103.  I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from SWOSU.  As a Kindergarten teacher, I want to provide my students with a strong educational foundation.  Learning the components to reading, writing, and math will help them become successful students.  I will strive to teach social and emotional skills that will help them become happy learners.

     My husband's name is Troy and he occasionally makes surprise visits to see what the children are learning.  He loves to grab a “favorite” book of theirs and read to them.  

     Troy and I have four children and five grandchildren.  Our oldest daughter is Kayla and she is married to David Barnett.  They have five young children. Stephanie is our middle daughter, Courtney is our youngest daughter, and Tyler is the youngest child and our only son. 

     I feel very blessed to have a family at home, a family of coworkers at Nance, and a family within the walls of my classroom.
