...SNOW POSSIBLE ACROSS PARTS OF WESTERN OKLAHOMA ON THURSDAY... A cold front will move across Oklahoma and northern Texas this afternoon and tonight. Compared with today`s temperatures, Thursday will be cold with a breezy north wind. Most of the precipitation with the cold front will be confined to areas along and southeast of Interstate 44 tonight. However, a cold rain is expected to develop across western Oklahoma by Thursday afternoon, as an upper level storm system moves across the region. Some of the rain may change to all snow across northwest and west central Oklahoma. Rather warm soil temperatures will likely reduce the chance of accumulating snow on roads and bridges. However, if snow rates are high enough Thursday afternoon, a slushy snow accumulation is possible, especially on bridges. Otherwise, most if any, snow accumulation will be confined to grassy areas. At this time, areas along and west of a Woodward to Elk City line have the best opportunity of seeing accumulating snowfall.
